Wrestling Nationals March 2 to 4
WRESTLING: The interim committee of the Wrestling Federation of Sri
Lanka is making arrangements to hold the National Wrestling
Championships from March 2 to 4 at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.
The distribution of awards will be on March 4 at 4.00 p.m. with
Gamini Lokuge, Minister of Sports and Public Recreation as the chief
guest.
The National Wrestling Championships is being held after a lapse of
four years. The WFSL has called for entries from the competitors and
entries close on or before February 29 with J.R. Mendis, Secretary
Interim Committee of WFSL, 18/15, Palliyadora Road, Dehiwala.
There are five weight categories 46-48 Kilogram, 50-53 Kg, 60-66 Kg,
74-84 Kg and 96-120. The overall champions will be presented the WFSL
shield. The Best Wrestler and Best Loser will be selected.
