Universo De' Comercio (UDC) UK in collaboration with El Universo De'
Comercio Sdn Bhd, Malaysia is an international awards program
recognising the success, innovation of all business leaders, companies
and organisations across all industry sectors. Emerging as the top
business event in the international arena, the UDC Business Awards
attracts entrepreneurs, business and community leaders from countries
across Asia, Europe, USA, Oceania and the Middle East.
This is the first time a Sri Lankan TV and Film Production Company
has been honoured for business excellence in the international community
and marks a milestone that heralds the entry of local film and TV
production standards to the world stage.
Managing Director of Frames Film and TV Production Shaman
Premasundara is an Indian and UK-trained veteran with over 15 years
experience as a Commercial Film Director and Film Editor, many of which
were spent honing his skills in leading production houses of the time.
His accomplished career has borne several technical firsts for the
country.
He was the first non-linear editor in Sri Lanka for using AVID MEDIA
COMPOSER an extremely high-end system, the first Compositor in Sri Lanka
to use ILLUSION a node-based high-end, advanced composting tool from
AVID and the first sound designer to achieve DOLBY 6.1 Surround Sound
for Sri Lankan feature film "Sooriya Arana".
Owing to his vast experience, Frames TV and Film Production also
played a major role in the making of international film "Machang" which
was directed by Italian Film Director Ubartho Pasalony.
The company culture at FRAMES resonates on quality rather than
quantity and reflects not only its technical virtuosity, equipment and
personnel but the all-important DNA of client relationships and
result-oriented implications.
These factors were critical to the review process for the judging of
the UDC Business Awards 2011.
