Chairman of the Company, Sathis Navaratna said that though tea is synonymous with Sri Lanka and we are one of the best tea exporters in the world, but Sri Lankans don't get a chance to taste quality tea produced in the country. He said that this was the rationale behind the launching of "Ayubovan Tea".

It is a premium quality tea and comes in 100 grams, 250 grams and as a pack of 25 tea bags. The brand ambassador is Billy Fernando, a singer and according to Navaratna he said he blends tradition and youth brilliantly.

He said that they source teas from several estates and blend according to the tea taster to get the original taste of Sri Lankan tea.

At present "Ayubovan Tea" carries the Lion Logo and they are planning to get SLS certification.

The tea will be available at Keells Super and Arpico Super Centres islandwide.

Asia Teas export tea to the Middle East, Russia, South America and West Africa under the brand names of Kenton and CK while most of it is exported in bulk form.
