Mano Wijeratne passes away

Former Minister and Kegalle district Parliamentarian Mano Wijeratne passed away in Singapore yesterday.

The late Wijeratne, a former UNP organiser for Dedigama crossed over to the UPFA in 2006 along with 16 other MPs and was appointed Minister of Enterprise Development. He continued to function as the UPFA organiser for Dedigama.

He was appointed Presidential Advisor after the last General Election. The funeral will take place today according to his last wishes.
