Peterite - Trinity game ends in no decision

Wet weather conditions and bad light on the second day forced the
inter-school cricket match between St. Peters College and Trinity
College to end in a 'No Decision' at Bambalapitiya yesterday.
The match got under way only at 12.30 pm. Due to wet conditions but
poor light conditions caused play to be suspended at 4.15 pm. and could
not be resumed.
Trinity College continuing from their overnight score of 44 without
loss, yesterday moved up to 197 for 7 when bad light stopped play. Only
46 overs were sent down.
Though many of the Trinity batsmen had a start but there was no
substantial contribution by any of them. Heshan Wanniarachchi being the
top scorer with 45 which had 7 fours.
Peterite left arm spinner Tulian Silva bowled best to capture 5 for
42 while Ali Khan took 2 for 37.
St. Peters College: 221 for 6 declared.
Trinity College: 44 for no loss overnight continued 197 for 7 in 54
overs. (Niroshan Dickwella 24, Janishka Premasinghe 22, Heshan
Wanniarachchi 45, Ron Chandragupta 42, Lakshitha Dassanayke 24, Arjuna
Jayasinghe 14 not out, Alwin Fernando 10 not out, Ali Khan 2 for 37,
Julian Silva 5 for 42.
