Housing loans for A'pura public servants

Housing Minister Wimal Weerawansa presents a housing loan to a
Government servant.

Over Rs. 120 million worth of housing loans were granted to
government servants in the Anuradhapura district under the Deyata Kirula
2012 national development program at a meeting held at the CTC hall in
Anuradhapura recently.
Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities
Minister Wimal Weerawansa presented the loans to the beneficiaries.
Minister Weerawansa said the Janasevana housing project aims at
constructing one million houses within six years.
The Ministry plans to built 50,000 houses in 2012. Around Rs. 4
billion has been received from State banks for the Janasevana housing
project.
The housing loans will be disbursed on minimum conditions and low
interest rates to help the needy, the Minister said.
Traditional Industries and Small Enterprises Development Deputy
Minister Weerakumara Dissanayeka, NCP Minister K.H.M. Nandasena, Housing
Ministry Secretary Gotabaya Jayaratna, NHDA Chairman Jayantha
Samaraweera and People's Bank Chairman W. Karunajeewa participated in
the event.
