Sri Rahula wins Inter-School Cross Country Race of Dharmaraja

CROSS COUNTRY: Sri Rahula College, Katugastota won the Team Championship and was awarded the Lt. Gen. Nalin Angammana Trophy at the 59th Annual Cross Country Race organised by the Dharmaraja College Sports Council and held at the Lake View Grounds, Kandy on the 9th of February.

Ambatenna, Pushpadana Vidyalaya won the Upananda Jayasundera Challenge Trophy being the runners-up in the Team Championship - Chula Gunaratne, an Old Boy of Dharmaraja, who is serving as the Deputy General Manager of the 'Maga Neguma' concept was the chief guest.

Following are the 1st three winners of the different races organised simultaneously:

Open: 1. W.A. Sujeewa Chandrapala (SL Army), 2. R.M.Y.C. Asela Bandara (SL Army), 3. G.K.S.T. Gunasekera (SL Army).

Inter-School: 1. Sri Rahula College, Katugastota, 2. Ambatenna Pushpadana Vidyalaya, Ambatenna, 3. Hewaheta MMV, Thalathuoya. Dharmaraja College - Under-20 Team: 1. W. Egodage, 2. K.A. Madhusha Ratnayake, 3. L.N. Ratnayake.

Ladies Open Race: 1. H.M.M.K. Seneviratne (Sri Rahula, Katugastota), 2. M. Amarasuriya (Sri Rahula, Katugastota), 3. Sewwandi Kumara Jayaweera (Sri Rahula, Katugastota).

Dharmaraja-Under-15 Race: 1. G. Deshapriya, 2. L. Sarathchandra, 3. R. Akila.

Inter-School-Individual Race: 1. K. Ratnayake (St. Sylvester's College), 2. H. Kumarasinghe (Ambatenna Pushpadana), 3. M. Rajapakshe (Sri Rahula, Katugastota).
