PBSS expands presence in ME

Perfect Business Solution Services (Pvt) Ltd (PBSS) has expanded its presence in the Middle East after commencing operations in Dubai and Kuwait in January.

Its international operations commenced in the Maldives in 2008. This effort has now paid dividends enabling them to expand into other countries. PBSS has also introduced Sage Accounting software to the syllabus of the Faculty of Management of the University of Colombo.

PBSS, Managing Director, Madura Gamanayake speaking to the Sunday Observer said that it is good to be recognised. "ICT services is an area where a large amount of foreign exchange could be earned and maximum use of our trained personnel could be made use of".

"Today at a time where a large number of trained persons are migrating to the West, due to the lack of opportunity here, this sector can provide rewarding and lucrative employment and stem this flow," he said.

PBSS is one of the leading software providers in Sri Lanka. We have professionally qualified staff members in areas such as software development, consultancy, marketing and management", he said. PBSS has been certified as consultants for Sage software in Sri Lanka, the Maldives and the Middle East.

"We have started the 'Sage Authorised Training Centre'. It provides training on all the Sage computerised accounting solutions, Evolution ERP training, HRM training, with an internationally recognised certificate," Gamanayake said.

Apart from the accounting products PBSS has a customised HRM/Payroll/TAS for the Sri Lankan market.

"2002 was a trying period for the IT sector due to terrorism and recession in the country. However, despite the difficulties the company has shown steady progress", he said.

PBSS is a Sri Lankan company founded in 2002 and specialising in providing IT solutions to small, medium and large scale businesses. It initially targetted the local market by providing consultancy and IT- related services.
