The Sri Lankan cricketers are on the verge of
another humiliating defeat when the fourth day of the Final Test
against Australia is called play today. Sri Lanka 2904 and 225 for 7
and Australia 432 for 9 declared. Unless the remaining three batsmen
can contribute and set Australia something like 200 or 250 to chase
for victory Sri Lanka is doomed.

Cricket’ low scores and high drama
Cricket at times is a funny game and low scores
at times can produce high drama. There was one such instance and
India was involved in it. It was in a Test match between England and
India at Headingley, Leeds on June 7th in 1952 where at that time
England’s pace bowler Freeddie Trueman made a drama debut.
