Train-bus collision, 24 injured

Twenty four passengers of a private bus were injured when the bus collided with the Colombo-Galle bound train at an unprotected level crossing at Rockland Junction near Beruwala last night at 7.24pm, police media centre reported.

The injured have been warded at the Nagoda Hospital. Four of them were critically injured and are in the ICU. It is reported that the bus passengers were from Kandy and were returning after attending a funeral in Galle.
