Thomians regain De Saram Shield with 29-15 win over Trinity

S Thomasí College Mount Lavinia regained the Canon RS de Saram Shield with a smashing 29 points (two goals, five penalties) to 15 (one goal, one try, one penalty) win over Trinity College Kandy in their annual inter-school rugby encounter played at Havelock Park yesterday after leading 13-10 at the breather.

Gurukula in five wicket win

Gurukula Vidyalaya Under-19 cricket team beat the touring Willows Cricket Club, Christ Church, New Zealand by five wickets in their cricket match played at Moors Cricket grounds, Colombo. Batting first tourists were all out for 121 runs with Jach Boyle and Jeromy Benton scoring 33 and 26 runs respectively while Lahiru Chamara claimed 4 for 12.
