Sampath-HNB clash in final

Sampath Bank will lock horns with HNB in the final of the MCA Twenty20 knock-out Super tournament, today at the NCC groudns, commencing 2 p.m. Prior to the final, the play-off for the 3rd place will take place between HSBC and Commercial Credit and finance at 9.30 a.m.

1st semi-final: BRC/morning

Sampath Bank beat HSBC by 7 wickets.

HSBC: 107 for 7, 20 overs (Ramesh Lakmal 22, Shean Wijetunga 21, S. Nissanka 18, Suwanji Madanayake 3 for 12, Malinga Surappulige 2 for 10).

Samapth Bank: 110 for 3, 13.4 overs (Sameen Kandanaarachchi 27, Kaushal Silva 21, Thilina Kandamby 32 not out, Hasantha Fernando 22 not out).

2nd semi-final: BRC/afternoon

HNB beat Commercial Credit and Finance by 3 wickets.
