Hayabusa - the epitome of train travel
Two significant events took place while I was in
Japan last month. The Sakura (cherry blossoms) bloomed and the
Shinkansen (literally New Stem Line) saw the addition of the fastest
train yet. Called the Hayabusa (Peregrine Falcon in Japanese), the

Lilting poetry from the East and West
I am no pundit on poetry. To me, poetry is a
beautiful collection of words. Kavi or Kavidhoi gives relaxation,
enlightenment and absolute peace of mind. It also helps in
meditation. The lilting lines of poetry have enriched the languages
of the world. It comes in many lengths and names.
Do mistresses energise men?
Intrigued by media reports on mistresses lording
it over political arenas in France, England, America and even China
where Communism has failed to erase human foibles, I asked a casual
visitor who exactly a mistress is.
