Turkey to help develop the East

Ambassador of Turkey, Iskendarf K. Okyay at a discussion with Eastern PC Minister, Naseer Ahamed

Ambassador of Turkey in Colombo Iskendarf K. Okyay pledged his country's support to develop tourism, agriculture and livestock in the Eastern Province at a recent meeting with PC Minister of Agriculture, Animal Production and Development, Rural Industries Development, Fisheries and Tourism, Naseer Ahamed.Detailed discussions on the matter took place at the embassy, Ahamed said.

Ambassador Iskendarf promised to visit the province shortly with his team to identify areas for investment and development, he said.

At the meeting, the Minister gave the ambassador details of sectors for potential investment and development in the province. The Ambassador said that his government was keen on extending all possible assistance and cooperation towards the development of the province, Ahamed said.
