M. D. Gunasena launches 'Book Hub Tablet'
M. D. Gunasena, the well-known publisher, printer and bookseller, in
collaboration with Microimage and Etisalat, introduced new technology to
the publishing industry with the launch of 'Book Hub Tablet', an ebook
reader.

The maiden device was presented to veteran children's book writer and
illustrator Sybil Wettasinghe.
The launch took place at the company's Concept Book Store in Colombo
4.
Deputy Managing Director, M. D. Gunasena and Co., Rajiv Gunasena,
Head of Digital Services and Enterprise Solutions, Etisalat Lanka,
Channa Munasinghe and Founder and CEO of Microimage, Harsha Purasinghe
were present.

Conventionally, thousands of manuscripts are rejected due to cost of
print run. e-publishing merely requires a one-time conversion for an
unlimited number of copies made available electronically.
The Book Hub will host Sinhala titles with conversion done for
Sinhala and Tamil text benefiting expats," Gunasena said. |
