Caltex provides medical care for three-wheeler drivers
Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC recently conducted a health camp for
members of the All Island Three Wheeler Drivers' Union.
It was conducted in partnership with the All-Island Three Wheeler
Drivers' Union where hundreds of three wheeler and budget taxi drivers
were given free medical care which included a Random Blood Sugar (RBS)
test, a Blood Pressure (BP) check, an eye test and a Doctor's
consultation for other ailments. Chevron also donated the medicines and
resources for the health camp.
"We decided to embark on the first health camp this year specially
for three-wheeler and budget taxi drivers. No doubt this community does
an enormous social service to the country and we wanted to be at the
forefront of supporting the social development of this industry," said
Managing Director and CEO of Chevron Lubricants, Kishu Gomes.
"For Chevron, Corporate Social Responsibility has long been part of
the organisation's values and the way it operates.
As a socially responsible organisation, Chevron is committed to
contributing to social and economic development through its numerous
projects in the community; which includes the recent road safety
awareness campaign to reduce road accident deaths in the country.

projects within the Deaf and Blind community of Sri Lanka for many
