Commemorating World Red Cross Day which falls on May 8 marking the birthday of the founder of the Red Cross, Sir Henry Dunant, the Puttalam branch of the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society conducted a ‘Children's art workshop’ on May 18 at St. Mary's Balika Vidyalaya, Chilaw.

The well-known author of children's books, cartoonist and senior journalist Ruwan Tharaswin was the resource person of the program which concluded with the awarding of certificates to participants.
