Dehiwela YMBA to save cattle from slaughter

The YMBA of Dehiwela-Mt. Lavinia will release cattle from slaughter Poson Poya Day, June 23 for the 21st consecutive year, under the guidance of its President Ranil Fernando. The released cattle will be entrusted to farmers identified as reliable and trustworthy through the respective Grama Niladaris and chief incumbents of temples.

It has also been decided to set up a fund to save the cattle.

All public contributions may be handed over at the YMBA, No. 200, Galle Road, Dehiwela.
