A school little heard of on the sports field - Agamethi Balika Maha
Vidyalaya, Panadura has become the talk of the town with their fine
showing in VOLLEYBALL. At the Kalutara Zonal Level Sports Meet held at
the Pothupitiya Maha Vidyalaya playgrounds recently, the Agamethi BMV,
Panadura emerged champions in all three age groups - that's under 15,
under 17 and under 19 in VOLLEYBALL.
According to the Principal of the school - Mrs. P.D.D. Fernando, the
performance of the girls in the three age groups were highly creditable.
The Principal was very appreciative of the trouble the coach Saman
Devapriya took in bringing up the girls to match-winning standard.The
girls were very cooperative and willing to learn all the finer points of
the game and they have been well rewarded.
