NIBM and NSBM continue partnership with EDEX Expo 2014

NIBM established in 1968 has been in the forefront of business and information computer technology for the past four decades offering youth tailored programmes to enable them to obtain employment in a competitive job market. Added to this excellent academic focus from certificate to degree levels, many organised workshops and seminars have been an immense boon to youth to gain insights and practical expertise in these fields.

Four decades later NIBM continues to be in the forefront of educating youth under the purview of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Skills Development and has undoubtedly given an impetus to the nation through its progressive march towards development.

Keeping abreast of the rapid developments in technology and globalisation its sister organisation NSBM which was recently launched as the degree awarding school of NIBM; offering undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes, thus reaching a wider studentship who will transform in to modern graduates, who are highly employable.

As such the school’s focus will be to prepare students to be managers, business leaders, thinkers and entrepreneurs keeping with the demands of modern businessmen and women. NSBM has organised its school into three disciplines, the school of business, computing and engineering. Out of these the business school is geared to meet the demands of modern professionals who will be knowledgeable and empowered as change leaders in their respective industries, contributing to economic growth.

The latest information covering courses in Tourism Management, Software Engineering, Communication and Multi-Media Technology and Hotel Management, will be offered in a modern ergonomic environment inclusive of up to date library facilities.

NSBM’s next initiative is underway geared to transform Sri Lanka to a 'Knowledge Hub' with its 'Green University Town ', the unique facility which is the first ever Green University Town of its own kind in South Asia which will be situated at Pitipana, Homagama.

The pioneering higher education and careers exhibition in Sri Lanka organised by Royal College Union attracting the largest and most diverse number of local and overseas participants held annually in Colombo and Kandy.

EDEX Expo Sri Lanka’s largest higher education and careers exhibition organized by the Royal College Union will be held on January 17th, 18th and 19th 2012 at BMICH Colombo and on January 24th and 25th at the Kandy City Centre, Kandy.
