ComBank opens agriculture unit in Ratnapura

The Commercial Bank (ComBank) opened its 11th Agriculture and Micro Finance Unit (AMFU) in Ratnapura recently.

The unit, which was opened by Commercial Bank's Senior Regional Manager, Uva Sabaragamuwa, Chanura Wijetillake, will also support Eheliyagoda, Kuruvita, Pelmadulla and Kahawatta, a bank spokesman said.

"The units help Commercial Bank to identify people who need assistance to develop either their agriculture activities or small businesses, and are dedicated to promote agriculture lending and micro finance," he said.

The Commercial Bank has set up AMFUs at Narammala, Kandy, Anuradhapura, Kilinochchi, Bandarawela, Wellawaya, Hingurakgoda, Galewela, Atchuvely and Vavuniya.
