Trilateral Tabletop Exercise 2013 in Trinco
Representatives from Indian and Maldivian Coast
Guard along with their Sri Lankan counterparts are attending the
Trilateral Tabletop Exercise (TTEX) 2013, currently in progress in
Trincomalee. The TTEX began on Wednesday at the Naval complex in the
eastern port city.

28th Flotilla of Iranian Navy at Colombo Port
The 28th Flotilla of the Iranian Navy, which has
been dispatched to South East Asia, berthed at the Colombo Port, a
senior Iranian Navy commander announced.“The 28th Flotilla of this
force, comprising the Alborz warship, Bandar Abbas warship and
semi-heavy Younus submarine as well as a 212 combat helicopter
berthed at the Colombo Port, Sri Lanka, after departing from India’s
Mumbai port and travelling thousands of kilometres,”

Tamil-speaking police constables, drivers pass out
The passing out ceremony of 240 Tamil-speaking
Recruit Police Constables and 233 Recruit Police Constable Drivers
was held at the Aluvihare Police Grounds of the Sri Lanka Police
Training College (SLPTC), Palathota, Kalutara last Tuesday.
