Laugfs Gas PLC has won a Gold award for its Annual Report 2013 at the
49th Annual Report Awards competition organised by the Institute of
Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka).
"This is the third national award received by the liquefied petroleum
gas (LPG) company during the past four months which is a testament to
the growth and expansion it has achieved over the past few years," a
company spokesman said.
The company clinched a Gold award at the National Business Excellence
Awards 2013 (NBEA) last month, which was preceded by winning one of the
coveted Top Ten National Awards at the Achiever Awards 2013 for
Industrial and Service Excellence in September.
The latest award was received for the Annual Report titled 'The story
of a great Sri Lankan company' at the awards ceremony last week. Over
125 companies registered for the competition this year, which was the
highest since the inception of this scheme.
"This Gold Award is a clear endorsement of the exemplary reporting
policies of Laugfs Gas which have created a culture of absolute
transparency, accountability and good corporate governance as a listed
company," the spokesman said.
