NAITA assists unemployed in Matara

Vocational and technical training courses for school leavers and unemployed young men and women in the Matara district have commenced at NAITA. These training programs include personal secretarial training (English), motor mechanism, hotel and restaurant management,graphic designing, information and communication technology, nursing assistants, gem cutting, training for tea factory officers,refrigerator and air conditioner repairing, manufacture of shoes and leather products, textiles and garment industry, electronics and power electricals training. No age limit apply to those desirous of training in these fields. A pass in grade 8 would suffice them NAITA Matara district director Sisira Jayalath said.

Applications are currently being entertained from residents in the Matara district NAITA Matara District Director Sisira Jayalath stated.

Both theoretical and practical training would be given to selected trainees at centers of Walgama, Kamburupitiya, Hakmana and Deniyaya in the Matara district.

NAITA would facilitate the trainees to obtain season tickets through the SLTB depots for their easy travelling to these training centres, District Director, Sisira Jayalath further added.
