Navy in smashing 48-20 win over CR and FC

Table leaders Navy Sports Club kept in their unbeaten record intact with a smashing 48 points (four goals, one try, five penalties) to 20 (two goals, two penalties) win over CR and FC in their Dialog ‘A’ Division League rugby match played Welisara yesterday after leading 25-17 at ‘lemons’.

For the Sailors, Alisi Tupuiloi (one), Saliya Handapangoda (one) Jason Dissanayake (one) and Joeli Lutumaiagi (two tries) scored the tries.

Full back Nuwan Hettiarachchi, who had a grand game converting four tries and firing across five penalties which gave him a personal tally of 23 points.

For CR and FC skipper Ishan Noor (one) and Lafeele Vaa (one) scored the tries with Riza Mubarak converting both tries and putting over two penalties with this win, the Sailors remain as the leading contender for the Dialog ‘A’ Division League Title.
