Sri Lanka youth cricket captain Kusal Mendis whose birthday falls today (2.2.2014) received a birthday gift in advance when he hammered 103 off 108 deliveries to fashion a 95-run win over the touring Australian Under 19 cricketers in their first one day match at the Colts grounds Havelock Park yesterday.

Navy in smashing 48-20 win over CR and FC

Table leaders Navy Sports Club kept in their unbeaten record intact with a smashing 48 points (four goals, one try, five penalties) to 20 (two goals, two penalties) win over CR and FC in their Dialog ‘A’ Division League rugby match played Welisara yesterday after leading 25-17 at ‘lemons’.
