Coconut auction goes online

Cyber Concepts, a software and web solution company has partnered with the Coconut Development Authority (CDA) to redefine the levels of coconut auctioning of Sri Lanka.

The team at Cyber Concepts will develop an internet-based coconut auctioning system to make operations at coconut auctions more efficient and productive. Cyber Concept believes that the new system will create a strong platform for buyers, sellers and brokers who participate in coconut auctions and also for CDA officials.

The core of the system is being designed under three phases which are catalogue submission, auctioning process and post bidding. Cyber Concepts is designing these phases in a way that stakeholders participating at an auction can easily access any information, submit and view catalogues, effect payment online and offline and analyse trends of coconut prices and sale via graphical representations.
