Malaysian Airliner hijacked, say investigators
Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said investigators now know that
the missing Malaysian airliner’s communications were deliberately
disabled and that it turned back from its flight to Beijing and flew
across Malaysia.
Najib also said on Saturday that the authorities are now trying to
trace the airplane across two possible “corridors” - a northern corridor
from the border of Kazakstan and Turkmenistan through to northern
Thailand, and a southern corridor from Indonesia to the southern Indian
Ocean.
He said that the expanded search area was based on the latest
available satellite data.
“Clearly the search for MH370 has entered a new phase,” he said. “We
hope this new information brings us one step closer to finding the
plane.” India Today |
