Dead lizard in bun

A bakery owner who produced a gal banis with a dead lizard and the
restaurant owner who sold it to a consumer were fined Rs.10,000 and Rs.
5,000 by the Deiyandara acting Magistrate Thilak Karunanayake. The
accused were residents of Hakmana.
The gal banis with the dead lizard in it was also produced in court
as a production by health officials.

Kidney dialysis
H.M. Ariyarathne (58) of 284/04, Batalahenawaththa, Gonawala,
Kelaniya is suffering from acute renal failure.
Consultant Nephrologist, Anura Hewageegana has recommended immediate
kindly transplant. His wife requests the public to donate a kidney
(Blood group:A/O).
Until the transplant Rs. 15,000 is needed for dialysis. She appeals
to philanthropists to assist her husband's cause by sending whatever
financial contributions possible to save his life.

Renal impairment
V.P. Mahinda (42), has chronic renal impairment and is in CKD Stage
IV. He is receiving follow up treatment monthly in the Kidney Follow-up
clinic at the Teaching Hospital Karapitiya.
His renal failure is due to diabetes and hypertension. As he needs
