Anuk (151 n.o) helps Sebs beat De Mazenod

St Sebastian's College, Moratuwa beat De Mazenod College, Kandana by 55 runs in their inter-school Under-19 limited over cricket match for the Singer Cup and played at Kandana.

Sebs batting first scored 256 runs with Sri Lanka Under-19 cricketer and their captain Anuk Fernando hitting a lusty innings of an unbeaten 151 which consisted of 13 sixes and 9 fours and facing 121 balls. He was associated in a third wicket partnership of 92 runs with Isuru Mendis, who made 15 runs. In reply, Mazodinians were all out for 201 runs with Kavinda Manamperi scoring 79 runs. Chief scores:

Sebs: 256 (Anuk Fernando 151 n.o, Luke Jayadeva 20, Avishka Fernando 18, Isuru Mendis 15, Deshan Fernando 2 for 32, Lahiru Wickramsinghe 2 for 35).

De Mazenod: 201 (Kavinda Manamperi 79, Rukshan Fernando 23, Shan Fernando 2 for 33, Anuk Fernando 2 for 24, Umeshka Moraes 2 for 28).
