'ICTA should focus more on SMART Sri Lanka'

President's Secretary Lalith Weeratunga, during a recent visit to the ICT Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) called upon the ICTA to focus more on 'SMART Sri Lanka', Government's next ICT strategy.

"President Mahinda Rajapaksa's vision is a 'SMART Sri Lanka' and ICTA will be the key driving force of the country's next ICT development initiative," he said.

He lauded ICTA for the great strides it had reached in e-Sri Lanka and pledged full support for the next phase - SMART Sri Lanka.

Weeratunga also met staff responsible for projects at ICTA.

He was given details of the work in progress in each project with emphasis on problems faced.
