'BoC Smart Remit' launched

The Bank of Ceylon's (BoC) international fund transfer system - 'BoC Smart Remit', has proved to be quick, safe and reliable. Beneficiaries in Sri Lanka can receive foreign remittances with ease.

The bank forwards an SMS to confirm the money transfer to the recipient.

The BoC has reached every nook and corner of the country with over 600 on-line branch networks.

It maintains correspondent relationships with over 600 foreign banks and with over 200 Foreign Exchange houses extensively covering every part of the world.

This long established network enables anyone to remit foreign transfers to Sri Lanka promptly at a minimum cost and securely to the hands of intended beneficiaries.

As the BoC Smart Remit system is accepted and used at almost all correspondent exchange houses in the Middle East, Italy and Israel, funds expected at the receiving point are instantly made available to the beneficiary through the system making BoC Smart Remit a real time fund settlement system.

Apart from BoC' Smart Remit there are other fund transfer options such as SWIFT, Money Gram, EZ Remit, Xpress Money, Al-fardan, Coin Star, and Segue to provide BoC customers with a wider choice.

The Bank has achieved exceptional milestones in recent years by achieving rapid growth and holds over Rs. 1 trillion in assets. Fitch Rating Lanka rated the Bank of Ceylon at AA+ (lka) which is the highest rating awarded to a local commercial bank.
