Priority for teachers at hospitals

The Government Medical Officers' Association (GMOA) has decided to give priority to teachers and other public officers in the Ministry of Education said its Assistant Secretary Dr. Malinda Herath.

This decision has been taken in following request by the secretary to the Ministry of Education. Members of the Security Forces are given priority at government hospitals at present. All GMOA members countrywide have been informed of this decision, Dr. Herath said.

This will held teachers avoid waiting in long queues at hospitals and waste their valuable time, he said.
