Aluth Sahal Mangalya from April 2-3

The 47 'Aluth Sahal Mangalya', offering fresh rich to the sacred Sri Maha Bodhiya in Anuradhapura will be held on April 2-3. President Mahinda Rajapaksa will be the chief guest. The ceremony will be organised under the patronage of Ven. Pallegama Siriniwasa Nayaka Thera, Chief Sanganayaka of North Central Province.

Over 12,000 farmers from various parts of the country will offer fresh rice from their recent paddy harvest. Former Bingiriya Divisional Secretary W.E. Jayathilaka at a meeting of the Kurunegala farmers' organisations at the Bingiriya Agrarian Services Centre recently.
