CMA Sri Lanka signs MoU with ComBank

The Institute of Certified Management Accountants (CMA) of Sri Lanka signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Commercial Bank of Ceylon to provide practical training for CMA students in the management accounting and finance fields.

The CMA practical experience component is an essential part of the CMA program and has been developed in accordance with the International Standards of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), the world body for Professional Accountants operating to meet the growing demands of competitive organisations at national and international level.

The President, CMA Sri Lanka, Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala presented the Accredited Training Partner Certificate to Chairman of Commercial Bank, Dinesh Weerakkody.

Managing Director and CEO Ravi Dias and DGM, HR Management, Commercial Bank, Isuru Tillakawardana, Consultant, L.B Wattegedara, Director, Education and Examination, Dr. Swineetha de Livera, Senior Manager, Member Relations, Mrs. Shanthi Maheshwaran and Director Operations, CMA Sri Lanka, Mrs. Sumudu Pagoda were also present.

CMA has over 12,000 students and 2,000 members. CMA is a member of the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) and a member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), the world body of Professional Accountants.
