Runway Super Model 2014 Pageant opens for Sri Lankans

The RUNWAY Super Model Sri Lanka 2014, is not just another super model contest but a stepping stone to the 9th Asian Super model contest held annually in China. The sole objective of the Sri Lankan competition is to select the best two models to represent Sri Lanka in the Asian Super model contest. Thus, this year with the collaboration of many organisations, Imagine works model agency has taken the initiative to organise a local competition to select the best among the best. Bhagya Egodage will be the project chairman for RUNWAY Super Model Sri Lanka 2014 and Jayantha Wedasinghe is the National Director for the 9th Asia Super model contest.

The event has already been given wide publicity to reach every nook and corner of the country. Through the widespread publicity the organisers intend to draw response from not only the professionals but also amateur models all over the country. The contest intends to provide an opportunity to begin a career in the modelling industry by giving a helping hand to new models who aspire to take on a successful career in this industry.

RUNWAY Super Model contest will give a novel experience for young female individuals to groom themselves to be a professional super model to represent her country. The pageant is designed in such a way that the organising committee will make sure any amateur individual who has the enthusiasm to reach great heights will be properly trained during the two months period and will proudly present them to the public through the grand finale' in the month of June. All air tickets and accommodation in China for the selected girls are sponsored by the partnering organisations.

Asian Super model contest is an internationally renowned event. China being one of the biggest trend setters in the Asian region hosts the event. The participants come from many countries in the Asian region such as China, Japan, South Korea, Mongolia, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, India as well as other countries such as Russia and Egypt who participate in this 12-day "Model Contest" to showcase their talents with their Asian style and charm. This event has drawn worldwide attention attracting more and more media concentration. The 9th Asian Super Model 2014 is Asia's biggest Model contest, which The Ramp organises in collaboration with the China Bentley Culture Group. The grand finale of this event will be held in Nanning, China.
