The SLCBCC Business Star Awards 2014 organised by the Sri Lanka-China
Business Co-operation Council (SLCBCC) was held at the Galadari last
week.
The Speaker of Parliament Chamal Rajapaksa and Chinese Ambassador in
Sri Lanka, Wu Jianghao were also present.

import, export, manufacturing and services sectors. Singer (Sri Lanka)
PLC received the Pinnacle Award.
Ambassador Jianghao said he was pleased with the economic and trade
cooperation between China and Sri Lanka in the past year.
“The Business Star Awards is a platform to promote bilateral
cooperation. I appreciate the work of council.
"China and Sri Lanka should make use of all favourable factors and
opportunities, such as the China-Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement and the
concept of 21st Century Maritime Silk Route,” he said.
“The Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka has always encouraged cooperation
among companies in the two countries.
"I believe that SLCBCC will make greater efforts to promote bilateral
trade and economic cooperation,” Jianghao said. |
