Richard Peiris Tyre Company dealer convention

Richard Peiris Tyre Company held its annual dealer convention recently at the Waskaduwa Citrus Hotel. Of the company's 1,500 strong sales agents, people who have delivered exemplary results were recognised at the event.

It was held on the theme Rajagamane Gauroththmachara.

India's Birla Tyre Company's international sales wing head, Asish Kumar and Asian Managing Director of Nexen Tyre Company in Korea, J. K. Choi were also present.

Fifty five sales agents from the tyre retreading sector and ten agents from the tyre trading sector received special awards.

The award for the best dealer of the tyre retreading sector (covering the whole island) was clinched by Dikwella Shanthi Tyre Mart (Pvt) Ltd, Managing Directress Mrs. H M T J Shanthiratne. The second and third prizes went to Rambukkana Sisira Tyre House owner W. A. W. W. Sisira Kumara and proprietor Jayanthi Tyre Centre, Balangoda, A. P. Ambagahawatte.

The award for the best dealer in the tyre trading sector (covering the whole island) was secured by proprietor of Hiruni Tyre House, Pannala, I. A. Karunatilleke. Second and third prizes in this category went to Managing Director, Auto Tyre Ways (Pvt) Ltd, Anuradhapura, P. A. Sunil Premaratne and Managing Director, Shanthi tyre Mart (Pvt) Ltd, Dikwella, H. M. T. J. Shanthiratne.

The ceremony also felicitated agents with Upahara Abhiyasa, Upahara Gaurava and Kalapa Abhimani awards. Gold awards were presented to sales agents in recognition of their dedicated services.
