Rs. 600 m to develop bus terminals
The Private Transport Ministry has launched a project at a cost of Rs.
600 million to develop bus terminals across the country.
The project has been implemented under the direction of Private
Transport Minister C.B. Ratnayake.
Construction work on the Lunuwatta and Medagama bus terminals will
commence this year. In addition, renovation work on the Rikillagaskada,
Walapane and Hanguranketha bus terminals in the Central province will
also begin this year.
Plans are afoot to develop the Hingurakgoda, Tangalle, Pitabeddara,
Pasgoda, Hakmana and Raththota bus terminals, the sources said.
