Athlete Jayamini's mother's funeral today

K. Karunawathi Ileperuma (70), mother of former Sri Lanka athlete and South Asian Games gold medallist Jayamili Ileperuma (attached to the Hatton National Bank), passed away on Thursday after a brief illness.

The body lies at her residence at No. 5, Perera Mawatha, Madakumbura, Panadura. The cremation will take place at Minuwanpitiya cemetery, Panadura at 4 pm today.
