Man gunned down in Moratuwa

A 35-year-old man who was shot by two unidentified gunmen in Angulana, Moratuwa yesterday afternoon succumbed to his injuries, the police said.

The victim had been identified as Srimal Perera of Fonseka Road, Laksha Uyana, Moratuwa.

The two motorcyclists who were wearing full face helmets had fired several rounds at the victim near Angulana Railway Station around 12.30 pm and fled the scene.

The injured man was rushed to Kalubowila Hospital but was pronounced dead on admission. Moratuwa Police conducting investigations into the incident suspect the person was shot over a personal matter.
