Gateway shines at Carlton Basketball Tournaments

TOP STARS IN BASKETBALL...... Gateway teams, both Senior and Junior, have had a very successful few weeks of Basketball. The newly formed Gateway Basketball Club where there is participation of both senior players as well as Alumni have made an excellent entry to this highly competitive tournament. Taking part in Carlton Cup Division II, they beat Sri Lanka Navy B 71 to 58, Sri Lanka Air Force B 57 to 48 and Colombo Nets Gold 43 to 39.

At the Carlton Cup 3X3 Under 19 tournament, Gateway College beat Cambridge International School 16 to 11, Mahanama College 11 to 6, St. Anne's College 15 to 10, St. Joseph College, Colombo 11 to 9 and St. Peter's College 19 to 13.

The Juniors too have kept a high standard so far. At the Carlton Cup Under 14 tournament, Gateway College Colombo beat Colombo International school 37 to 21 and St. Joseph's College Colombo 31 to 25.

Students of Gateway College Kandy too have fared well by beating Joseph Vaz College (Wennappuwa) 33 to 14, Kokuvil Hindu College (Jaffna) 38 to 10, Wayamba Royal College 20 to 10 and St. Anne's College (Kurunegala) 27 to 6.
