Dearth of trained staff hampers audit cases

The Co-operative Development Department of the NWP does not have adequate trained staff members to do auditing in Co-operative Societies in Kurunegala and Puttalam districts.

Over 120 graduates in 2005 and 63 graduates in 2012 have been recruited for auditing. But most of them were arts graduates, with no experience or training on auditing.
