Moratorium on water supply disconnections

Water Supply and Drainage Minister Dinesh Gunawardena has advised the National Water Supply and Drainage Board to provide relief by temporarily halting all disconnections of water supply for non-payment of water bills between December 6, 2014 and January 15, 2015 in view of the GCE (O/L) examination and religious festivals as the stoppage the water supply during this period can cause hardship to the people, a media release stated.
