The Ceylon Hotel School Graduates Association will hold its first
Hotel Management Conference from May 12-13 at the Taj Samudra Hotel,
Colombo.
The event, which is organised with the Hotels Association of Sri
Lanka, is expected to attract a large number of top business leaders
representing the hospitality, travel and leisure sectors including hotel
owners, industry leaders and hospitality experts.
The two-day conference on the theme 'Strategic Management for
Hospitality Leaders' will showcase the growing potential that lies
within the travel and hospitality sector and explore approaches that
allow companies to create further value for stakeholders.
Chairman, Conference Committee, Ceylon Hotel School Graduates
Association, Nishantha Manawadu said that the theme reflects the mission
of the conference, which is to educate, inspire and motivate the
attendees to take full advantage of every opportunity within this strong
and growing market.
Apart from the many insights that will be shared by top local and
foreign industry experts, the event will bring together a large
proportion of influential industry leaders to one common platform
thereby affording them an opportunity to share invaluable inputs and to
network and interact with like-minded people representing the travel and
hospitality industry.
Veteran hospitality industry professional, Sunil Dissanayake, the
Project Leader of the conference, said that the organisers have lined up
an interesting array of activities covering many meaningful topics.
"We are hopeful that the participants would walk away with the
knowledge they need to make a difference to their business and the
country's hospitality landscape that holds much promise," he added.
The conference agenda will feature speakers and panel discussions by
a wide cross-section of leading industry innovators and thought leaders
on topics covering national, regional and global issues relating to the
travel and hospitality industry from strategic and operational
perspectives.
It is envisaged that these sessions will provide participants with
cutting-edge, expert insights on the state of the hospitality industry
and a look into the future. |
