Peterite Lakshina Rodrigo leads with 3,742 votes

Peterite Lakshina Rodrigo (3,742) sprang back into the lead replacing last week’s winner Raveen Sayer of Trinity College who was pushed into third place at the end of the 5th week’s counting in the Sunday Observer/ Mobitel Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer Of The Year 2015 competition. Richmond College Galle’s Charith Asalanka was placed second polling 3233 votes.

Sangakkara Wisden Cricketer of the year

Sri Lanka great Kumar Sangakkara has been named the cricketer of the year in the 2015 Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack. Sangakkara joined India’s Virender Sehwag as the only two players to be named as Wisden’s Leading Cricketer in the World for a second occasion.
