Selectors to adopt three-tier approach

Chairman Selection Committee Kapila Wijegunawardene is banking on a three- tier policy for future International matches. He said due to time constraints, members of the selection committee have not put out a formal document outlining the selection policies the committee plans to adopt.

Richmond College Galle’s Charith Asalanka was placed second polling 3233 votes.

Sangakkara Wisden Cricketer of the year

Sri Lanka great Kumar Sangakkara has been named the cricketer of the year in the 2015 Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack. Sangakkara joined India’s Virender Sehwag as the only two players to be named as Wisden’s Leading Cricketer in the World for a second occasion.
