Omalka's last try helps Isipathana

A superb try by Isipathana Colllege skipper Omalka Gunaratne off a
strong rolling maul, ten minutes before the final whistle, enabled
Isipathana to beat St Joseph's College by 23 points (four tries, one
penalty) to 17 points (two goals, one penalty) in their Singer Under-20
Schools League Rugby Tournament match played at Longden Place, Colombo
yesterday after leading 10-3 at half time.
Isipathana started scoring In the fifth minute when Omalka Gunaratne
powered his way to touch down near the posts for Chathura Dilshan to add
extra points in their third match for the season played before a
enthusiastic weekend crowd at CR and FC grounds. Isipathana dented the
unbeaten run of Jesphians who have won the last two matches with ease.
St Josesph's College tries were scored by Shamilka Kurumbulapitiya in
the second minute of the second half. In the 22nd minute, Josephians'
last try was scored. Kurumbulapitiya converted it in a challenging
condition.
