42nd death anniversary of Dudley Senanayake

A ceremony to commemorate the 42nd death anniversary of former prime minister Dudley Senanayake will be held near the Senanayake statue in Borella tomorrow (13) at 4 pm.

Colombo Mayor A. J. M. Muzammil will be the guest of honour.

The commemoration lecture will be delivered by a former presidential secretary, Bradman Weerakoon and Prof. S. B Hettiarchchi will deliver a commemorative speech in Sinhala, Secretary of the Dudley Senanayake Commemoration Foundation Chandima de Silva said.

Following the garlanding of the statue by President of the Foundation, Karunasena Kodituwakku and Colombo Mayor Muzammil, a Buddhist sermon will be delivered.

A discussion on the contribution made by the former prime minister Dudley Senanayake will also be telecast on Rupavahini on April 13.
