Broadcaster wins Pakistan civilian award

The Government of Pakistan has awarded the prestigious civil award Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Star of Excellence) to Sri Lankan broadcaster and Chairman of the Kashmir Study Forum in Sri Lanka, Mohamed Jamaludeen.

Jamaludeen was decorated with Sitara-i-Imtiaz by Pakistan's President Mamnoon Hussain at a ceremony on the National Day of Pakistan in Islamabad.

Sitara-e-Imtiaz, is the third highest honour and civilian award in the State of Pakistan.

The recipient is a former Director of then Radio Ceylon.
