Sifani Gallery opens its doors to artistic elegance
Sifani Gallery, the latest addition to the Sifani jewellery chain was
opened in Kollupitiya. It was opened by First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa.
"There is a bright future for the jewellery retail sector in fast
developing Sri Lanka and I believe through this store we have created
the right ambience to portray our modern, versatile fashion oriented
collection of jewellery, which is unique yet affordable," said Managing
Director Sifani, Rizvan Sahabdeen. The new store is a combination of a
jewellery store and an art gallery designed by architect Madhura
Prematilleke and is adorned with Pala Pothupitiya's sculptures.
The fibre resin sculptures moulded to dancing postures are the
highlight of the Sifani Gallery.
Among the products displayed at the new gallery is the award winning
ring created to reflect the shape of a bark of a tree that conveniently
converts into a pendant and the brilliant diamond ring that changes
colour to match any fashion need.
Invitees were entertained with models dressed as sculptures
displaying a collection of jewellery by Sifani and clothing by Buddhi
Batiks.
